Ethan Mauch scored the game-winning run in the fourth inning to lift the Yankees over the Red Sox, 2-1, during the Dixie Majors finale on Thursday.
Allen Little drove in the first run of the game for the Yankees with a RBI single in the third inning to score Daniel Hartley.
Brandon Burnette scored the only run for the Red Sox in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Dusty Coker.
Burnette was later named the most valuable player on the Red Sox team this year and was one of 12 players selected from three Greenville teams to make up the Dixie Majors All-Star team.
Burnette's teammate Dustin Coker was given the sportsmanship award.
Brad Heartsill was named MVP of the A's, while Josh Booker received the sportsmanship award.
Brady Newton was named MVP of the Yankees squad, and Will Bowman was given the sportsmanship award.
Cory Ausderau of the Red Sox was also awarded the Douglas McNaughton Award.
Hunter Paul was named the most valuable player for the A's and will join 12 other players to make up the Greenville Dixie PreMajor All-Star team.
Mack Lee was given the sportsmanship award from the A's.
Casey Weston was named MVP of the Red Sox, while Jason Tutchtone was given the sportsmanship award.
Andrew Phelps was dubbed the MVP of the Yankees, while Danny Spann was given the sportsmanship award.
