As we reported last Wednesday, the local Winn-Dixie store is slated to close if a buyer is not found on Aug. 20.

After chatting with a Winn-Dixie marketing associate, it was said that community involvement could save this longtime grocery store here in Butler County.

So here is what we propose.

Write letters to the corporate office; call the corporate office.

Don't talk to the local management, go to the corporate level. Go to the people who make the decisions and let them know that you want Winn-Dixie to stay in Greenville.
