Carter, Jones united in August ceremony

Pearl Carter and Jimmie Jones were united in marriage on August 13, 2005 at 4 p.m. at First Missionary Church of Greenville.

In the absence of their pastor, R.F. McCreary, the Rev. McMillan of Evergreen officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. Willie James Cook and Mrs. John C. Howard of Greenville and the granddaughter of Mrs. Annie Pearl Carter.

The groom is the son of Ms. Claudette Jones.

The bride was given in marriage by her son, Markilius I'Keem Sims, and her father.

The bride's matron of honor was Mrs. Senita Colley and her maid of honor was Ms. Deborah Peagler.

Bridesmaids were Ms. Latechia Robinson, Ms. Katashia Hawkins and Ms. E'licia Allen.

Zylandria De'Sha Sims, daughter of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. De'Jonae Davis was flower girl for the ceremony.

The groom's uncle, Mr. Jesse Marsh, and Charlie Jones served as best men.

Groomsmen were Mr. Willie Jay Brown, Mr. Eddie Harris and Mr. Randy McDonald.

Langston F. Carter was junior groomsman. Ring bearer was Jamario McKee and Bible bearer was Da Mario McKee. Jermane and Tramane Jones and Jae'Ques Brown served as bell ringers. Hostesses and ushers were Ms. Quin Carter, Ms. Brenda Bradley, Mr. Alphonso Pugh and Mr. Aaron Coleman.

Ms. Mary A. Carter served as wedding director, while Mrs. Mary Thompson provided the decorations. Mrs. Barbara Fields was the musician.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Butler County Fairgrounds.

The couple enjoyed a wedding trip to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Jones would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
