Clever costumes, tasty treats, fun and games and lots of prizes await those who attend the W.O. Parmer Fall Festival. The event will be held on the Greenville High School Football Field from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25.

“We have a wonderful event planned again this year, and we hope everyone will turn out and support us,” Jean Hardin Bauer, W. O. Parmer kindergarten teacher, said.

A moon walk, cake walk, Coke toss and Sugar Shack will all be featured at the festival, along with a fish pond, go fish, face painting, golf, basketball, hula hoop contests and more.

“If you’re hungry, we’ll have good eats, like hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy,” Bauer said.

A costume contest will also be held, with trophies for winners in each age category to be announced at 7:30. A school king and queen will also be announced that night from a field of winners from each classroom.

“We also have some great raffles going on, including a bicycle, custom-made cake by Whitman Kramer, Russell Stover basket, Mary Kay basket and a turkey from Bates House of Turkey,” Bauer said.

A Krispy Kreme doughnut sale is going on now through the day of the festival at $5 a box. The doughnuts should be picked up that morning in the school gym.

Admission to the festival is $2 for adults and $1 for school-age children. Children two and younger are admitted free.

“Come join us – and don’t forget to wear your costume,” Bauer said.
