Stabler, Kilgore wed in May

Meredith Leigh Stabler and Matthew Shane Kilgore were married on the evening of May 6, 2005 in historic Eden Gardens, Port Washington, Fla. The Rev. Tim Kallam of Birmingham officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Leigh Stanford Godin of Montgomery and Dr. Aubrey Ayer Stabler Jr. of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Julius Hilliard Thornton of Montgomery and the late Robert Ernest Stanford and Mrs. Aubrey Stabler Sr. and late Dr. Aubery Ayer Stabler Sr.

The groom is the son of Margaret Joan McPherson and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kilgore of Birmingham.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Grady McPherson and the late Mr. and Mrs. David Kilgore of Birmingham.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Wearkstatt couture gown of diamond white silk with a chapel train. She chose a cathedral length veil of silk illusion and carried a hand-tied bouquet of white freesias.

The bride's sister, Ashley Stabler Gallion, served as the matron of honor and her nephew, John Stabler Gallion, served as ring bearer.

The bridegroom's father served as best man along with his brother, William Michael Kilgore. The groom's sister, Jennifer Riggs served as wedding vocalist and inspirational music by a stringed trio was provided throughout the starlit evening.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held among the ancient oak trees and formal rose gardens in splendid array.

After a wedding trip to Caneel Bay in the British Virgin Islands, the couple now resides in Birmingham.
