Mr. and Mrs. William Winston Whitfield of Mobile announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, to Walton Ward Hickman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Alvin Hickman of Greenville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hines of Mobile; Mr. Winston Calvin Whitfield of Corinth, Miss. and the late Mrs. Eva Robinson Whitfield.

She is a graduate of McGill in Mobile.

Miss Whitfield is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a degree in social work. The bride-elect was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She is presently employed as a social worker with the Penelope House in Mobile.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Marilyn Melton Cook and Mr. Clyde Dickey Bozeman, of Evergreen, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eual Victor Hickman of Greenville.

He is a graduate of Greenville High School. Mr. Hickman is a graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a B.A. in public relations. The groom-elect was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He is presently attending Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery and will graduate in June 2006.

The couple will be married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mobile on November 12, 2005.
