Mixon, Cooper unite in marriage

Amy Lynn Mixon and Bruce William Cooper were united in marriage on Oct. 8, 2005 at South Highland Presbyterian Church in Birmingham.
Dr. Edwin Hurley and Dr. Sandra Winter officiated the ceremony.
Kim Mixon Spinello of Decatur, Ga., the sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Charla Durham Balogh, of Birmingham; Dana Anne Busch of Denver; Jennifer Bradley Eggers, of Birmingham, Stephanie Bethke Stoll of Birmingham and Rebecca Lynn Williams of Miami.
John Golson Cooper of Greenville, father of the groom, served as his best man. Groomsmen were Rhett Allen Idland and Joseph Kendall Leverette, both of Greenville; Larry Chad Hall, of Spanish Fort, Christopher Allan Mixon of Birmingham and Charles David Rogers of Pike Road.
Dalton Cooper Donde, nephew of the groom, served as the ringbearer.
A reception at historic Rucker Place followed the ceremony.
The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Michael Ash of Birmingham and Mr. James Edward Mixon of Birmingham, received her bachelor's degree from Samford University and her master's degree from Auburn University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and is employed at the UAB Sparks Clinics.
The groom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Golson Cooper of Greenville, received his bachelor's degree in accounting and MBA at Troy University. He is a certified public accountant and is employed at MailSouth.
Following a wedding trip to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, the couple is now residing in Birmingham.
