Interested in learning how to create the perfect stitch? Want to be able to create works of art that can also warm you in winter?
Beginning this week, you'll have the chance to improve your skill with needle and thread.
Tomorrow, Nov. 3, a quilting class kicks off at 1:30 p.m. at the Camellia Senior Center at 111 Bolling Street in Greenville.
“If you are interested in learning how to quilt or you simply want to be part of a quilting group, come and join us,” Senior Services Director Mary Braden said.
Pat Lawrence, a skilled quilter, will be the instructor for the class. Participants will need to furnish their own materials and supplies, Braden said.
“We'll give a list of needed supplies at registration time, but I understand some scraps and fabrics will be available at the class,” she added.
Braden says she is excited to be able to bring a quilting class to the area. “It's a wonderful, traditional art form and one we shouldn't allow to die out.”
Those interested in the quilting class should contact Mary Braden at the Camellia Senior Center at 382-5670.
