Little Miss Pageant

The Luverne Band Boosters will sponsor their 23rd Annual Little Miss and Miss Junior High Pageant on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Girls participating must be in Luverne School's K-4 through ninth grades.

There will be five categories: Tiny Miss, 4-years-Kindergarten; Petite Miss, grades 1-2; Little Miss, Grades 3-4; Young Miss, Grades 5-6; and Miss Junior High, Grades 7-9. Girls must have a sponsor and pay the entry fee by Jan. 27 in order to participate.

Entry forms may be picked up at the Luverne Elementary and the high school offices.

Reserved tickets may be purchased from Lisa's Jewelry Box and Gifts beginning Feb. 4. If you have further questions, call 335-5401 or 335-6055.

Festival of Praise

All churches of any denomination in Crenshaw County are encouraged and invited to participate in the 2006 &#8220Festival of Praise” that will be hosted by South Luverne Baptist Church on Sunday night, January 29, 2006.

The &#8220Festival of Praise”, formerly hosted by Joquin Baptist Church will move to South Luverne Baptist Church.

The service will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. with finger foods and fellowship to follow.

Gospel Singing

Luverne Baptist Church will be presenting a Gospel singing with Scott Fowler and Soldiers for the Cross on Jan. 29 at 6 p.m.

Bible Feasts & Holidays Class

Experience a modern Passover Seder meal when you enroll in &#8220Biblical Feasts & Holidays”, a continuing education course offered by LBW Community College in Luverne. The course includes: learning the Biblical basis, historical and modern observance, and the prophetic meaning of the Feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles, Purim, and Hanukkah. Class will meet from 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. on Thursdays, February 2 through March 9, in the meeting room at Meadowcrest Apartments. Marriage Makeover

Brantley Assembly of God invites the public to a &uot;Marriage Makeover&uot; with Pastors David and Carol Hunt.

This is a local marriage retreat with lifechanging impact, which is free to everyone with door prizes available. The retreat will run from Feb. 3 to Feb. 5.
