Although she was, in her words, initially &#8220quite put out” over missing her monthly movie excursion to Montgomery, Roberta Gamble was pleasantly surprised when she entered the Ritz Theatre on Saturday afternoon to find a host of well-wishers and former students inside ready to put on a show in her honor.

Gamble, known as &#8220Miss Bobbie” by her Old Gym Players, was treated to a number of tunes from the Broadway musicals she'd directed at Greenville High School in the 70s and 80s.
