Dr. and Mrs. David James Brand of Montgomery, Alabama are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Meredith of Dothan, Alabama, to Jeremy Wayne Pate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Wayne Pate of Lynn Haven, Florida. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dorothy M. Wyatt and the late Mr. Andrew J. Wyatt of Luverne, Alabama and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde D. Brand of Birmingham, Alabama.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in GeoSciences/Broadcast Meteorology. She is employed as a meteorologist with WTVY Television in Dothan, Alabama. The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. Nelson C. and Mary Pate of Sylacauga, Alabama and Mr. Robert L. Drennan of Columbus, Ohio and the late Delphine Drennan of Dothan, Alabama. He is a graduate of Florida State University at Panama City where is received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication. He is employed as a news anchor with WJHG Television in Panama City, Florida.

The wedding is planned for May 27, 2006 at the Wedding Pavilion at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida with a reception following at The Grand Floridian.
