Mrs. Celia Daniel of Highland Home, Ala., announces the engagement of her daughter, Jana Ellen, to Gered Michael White.

She is the daughter of the late Mr. Glenn Daniel Jr. Mr. White is the son of Mr. Edgar White and the late Mrs. Geraldine White of Highland Home.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mira Landers and the late Mr. Steve Landers of Highland Home, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Daniel, Sr., of Luverne, Ala.

Miss Daniel graduated from Auburn University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Business Administration. She is currently employed in the accounting department of Colonial BancGroup in Montgomery, Ala.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Ms. Myrtle White of Highland Home, Ala., and the late Mr. Henry White of Andalusia, Ala.

Mr. White attended Southern Union State Community College. He is currently employed by Montgomery Water Works and the Crenshaw County Sheriff's Department.

The wedding will take place at 4 p.m. on April 22, 2006 at Highland Home Church of Christ in Highland Home, Ala. Family and friends are invited to attend.
