If your kids and teens tend to devolve into lifeless couch potatoes during the summer break, there is a way to keep them active, having fun and learning, too.
It's the Dunbar Day Camp, put on annually by
Greenville Parks and Recreation.
Children and teens ages 5 to15 are welcome to attend the eight-week camp, which will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, June 5 through July 28.
A number of activities are offered to youngsters, including field trips, arts and crafts projects, music/dancing, poetry/drama, swimming, basketball, softball, tennis, volleyball, character building workshops, movies, cooking classes and more.
The camp fee is $60 per child, which includes a daily lunch and a camp T-shirt.
Space is limited, so participants should register early, Jerome Harris, director of the P & R said.
“Please give us a call soon to get enrolled in the program. It is a great way for kids to spend the summer,” Harris said.
