Chester Adams, son of Bernice Adams of Luverne, recently visited Luverne High School. He is a 2004 LHS graduate and is currently a sophomore at the University of Georgia where he is an offensive lineman for the Bulldogs. Georgia won the SEC championship and were the champions in the 2006 Sugar Bowl.

Adams wanted to surprise one lucky fan during his visit to LHS. He gave eleven-year-old Ryan Wilkes the jersey he wore in the Sugar Bowl. The jersey has both the SEC Champion patch and the Nokia Sugar Bowl patch.

Ryan is in the sixth grade at Luverne School and is the son of Randy and Cathy Wilkes.

While visiting the school, Adams also signed a few autographs and had pictures made with some of the students. Adams autographed a Georgia Bulldog football and donated it to the school’s Relay for Life team. Some lucky student will have the opportunity to win the football.
