Mr. and Mrs. William Patrick Riley of Greenville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Meredith Leigh Riley of Homewood, to Philip Alan Hake of Homewood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert William Hake of Huntsville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Barney Tubbs Sr. of Birmingham and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Whitcomb Riley of Bessemer.

A graduate of Auburn University, she is an insurance broker at CRC Insurance Services, Inc.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frederick Spring of Athens, Ohio, Jean Pullen of Athens and James Hake of Dallas.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, he is a graduate student at UAB.

The wedding is scheduled for 5 p.m. on August 5, 2006 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Birmingham.
