n Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church

Pine Top Missionary Baptist Church will hold its Annual Men and Women Day on May 28, at 2 p.m. The theme is The Need for Teaching. Guest speaker will be Rev. Robert White of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church

n Veterans' Ceremony

The Greenville Lions Club will honor all veterans from Butler County from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2006, at Confederate Park in

Greenville. There will be a Veterans' Walk of Honor, as well as music, a vintage aircraft fly over, children's activities, refreshments, and a patriotic ceremony at noon. Bring a friend and bring a veteran.

n City Offices Closed

City of Greenville offices will be closed on Monday, May 29th for Memorial Day.

If your garbage is scheduled for pickup on Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday, May 30th.

n Poll Workers Class

A Poll Workers Class for the upcoming primary election will be held on May 30 at 2 p.m. at the Greenville High School auditorium.

n Scholarship Applications

Whitney National Bank, trustee of the Elizabeth D. Leckie Scholarship fund, announces applications can now be submitted. All new applicants and those reviewing their applications should see Melba H. A golf tournament will be held at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, AL, on Friday, June 2, 2006.

n Appreciation/Benefit Program

An appreciation/benefit program for Evangelist Kitty Merrills will be held at The House of Prayer Holiness Church on Friday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 4 at 2:30 p.m. Bishop M. Linday Brown will be preaching. Everyone is invited.

Descendants of Reuben Issac and Annie Callins Stinson will have a family reunion from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 3 at the Greenville Boys and Girls Club at Beeland Park. All relatives and friends are invited. Please bring a basket lunch.

n Antique Tractor Parade

Come to downtown Greenville on Saturday, June 3 and enjoy the sight of vintage tractors rolling down the street. The antique tractor parade, courtesy of Old Time Farm Days, kicks off at 10:30 a.m. from the courthouse to Oliver Street.

n Georgiana HS Reunion

The annual Georgiana High School Reunion-classes 1960-1969 will be held at the Georgiana Community House on June 3, from 1:30p.m. – 3:30p.m.

Light refreshments will be provided at no charge, however, donations will be accepted.

Class pictures will be taken at 2:30 p.m.

There will be no formal program, just &#8220come and go” and visit with old friends.

n Vacation Bible School

Southside Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School starting on June 5 through June 9 from 9 a.m. to noon. The theme this year is FIESTA: Where Kids are Fired Up about Jesus. n Spring Revival

First Baptist Church - Georgiana will host &#8220Four Marvelous Mondays” starting on June 5. Randy Harvill will be guest speaker on June 5 and special music will be provided by The Jubilee Trio; June 12, speaker will be Michael King and special music will be provided by Roy Freeman; June 19, speaker will be Greg Aman and special music will be provided by Bill and Laurie Sky; June 26, speaker will be Michael Green and special music will be provided by Sabrina Reynolds. Services start at 7 p.m. each evening.

n Moore Academy Reunion

Moore Academy Alumni, former teachers, students and friends, will hold its annual reunion on Saturday, June 10 at the Moore Academy School in Pine Apple. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the historical main building where refreshments will be served. You are invited to visit the memorabilia room, as well as the veteran's collection room. The program will start at 11 a.m. in the gym, followed by a catered lunch. Lunch plates will be $10, no refunds. The Skipper-Gardner-Barrington Family Reunion will be held at Beeland Park on June 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. All family and friends are invited to attend.
