Greenville Class of 1943 enjoys reunion weekend

The class of 1943 of Greenville High School met recently for its 63rd anniversary. Fifteen members returned for the occasion.

Frances Beeland Frakes invited the class to her home for a barbecue supper on Friday night.

On Saturday at noon, the class and their spouses/friends had lunch at Cambrian Ridge.

Greenville Country Club. Former Probate Judge Calvin Steindorff presided over the gathering.

Lina Grayson Clary lit a candle in remembrance of classmates who had passed away.

They are as follows: Olga Johnson, Doris McCrory, Johnnie Lee Reynolds, Rosa Lee Eddins, Jewel Stallings, James Dunklin, Tommy Newton, Angeleon Herring, Annie Pearl Sanders, Kenneth Cumbie, John Mason Williams, Fred Sims, Harris Hood, Earl Baker Williams, Harry Perdue, Oscar Riley Jr., Billy Lynn, John Garner, Bobby Beeland, Helen Liveakos, Minnie Lee Hickman, James Riley, Ralph Mullins Jr., David Mosley, Doris Hartley, Lewis Edward Nix, Bill Simmons, J.C. Hayes, Conrad Allen, Harris McFerrin, Hugh McCrory, Edna Earl Childs and Edna Earl Buckhalter.
