Nimmer gets it done at the plate

Susan Nimmer was 3-for-4 Monday night with a double and a home run to lead the Dixie Jr./Sr. Get-R-Done team to victory over the Wildcats, 13-1.

Amber McKenzie had two hits for the Get-R-Done, while Shawnee Morrison added a single in the sixth inning.

Shantzel Peagler scored the only run for the Wildcats as Morrison earned the win by throwing a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Butterbeans 8, Slammers 3

Carrier Coker and Conner Murphy each blasted a home run Monday night to lead the Butterbeans past the Slammers, 8-3.

Abbey Martin, Michelle Hulick and Casey Hicks each had a hit in the win, with Heather Blackmon and Chaney Hawthorn each scoring the remaining runs.

For the Slammers, Kayla Johnson blasted a triple in the first inning and Courtnee Myers, Amanda Best and Kristen Bullard each scored a run.

Slammers 11, Wildcats 4

Nicole Norton and Tamara Truitt each blasted a home run Thursday night to lead the Slammers over the Wildcats, 11-4.

Truitt finished the game with two hits, while Erin Taylor and Julie Scott each had a hit apiece.

For the Wildcats, Lauren Christ, Courtnee Myers and Nicole Stinson each had a single.

Get-R-Done 11,

Butterbeans 10

Anna Nelson went 2-for-3 with a home run Thursday night as the Get-R-Done team got it done, downing the Butterbeans, 11-10.

Susan Nimmer and Amber McKenzie also had two hits for the Get-R-Done, while Cory Rice, Kayla Alexander, Jennifer Thomason and Kristen Edwards each scattered a single.

For the Butterbeans, Flomekia McWilliams had three hits, including a double, while teammates Conner Murphy, Carrie Coker, Tara Gibson, Chancil Hawthorn and Kendra Williams each had a base hit.

Besides being the leading hitter for the Get-R-Done, Nelson also earned the win on the mound, striking out 6 Butterbeans hitters on the night.
