Dixie Boys one win away

The Greenville Dixie Boys 13-year-olds All-Star team moved one step closer to a District Championship Tuesday night by downing Enterprise, 3-1.
Daniel Frazier was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a run scored to lead Greenville offensively while Todd Burkett, Nathan Branum, Stewart Moody, Rush Nimmer and Dillon Frazier each scattered a single apiece.
Greenville got going offensively in the first inning when Jared Edge, who reached base on a walk, took advantage of an Enterprise error to score the first run of the game.
Then, in the third inning, Burkett, Daniel Frazier and Branum each scattered a hit and reached base, with Burkett and Frazier each scoring.
For Enterprise, Ryan Tanner, Hunter Hudson, Aaron Gilley and Jacob Malkoff each had a hit, with Gilley scoring Enterprise's lone run off of a second-inning single.
Daniel Frazier earned the win for Greenville while Stephen Joy picked up the loss.
With the win, Greenville advances to the championship game. If Greenville loses the first game, there will be another game following as a doubleheader to determine the champion since Greenville has not been beaten in the double-elimination tournament.

Greenville 12, Dothan 0
Todd Burkett, Nathan Branum and the Frazier boys, Daniel and Dillon, combined for the two-hit shutout win in the opening round to lead Greenville to victory over Dothan, 12-0.
Hunter Harrell, Jared Edge, Stewart Moore, Rush Nimmer and Caleb Parson each had two hits to lead Greenville offensively. Burkett, Branum and both Fraziers each had hit, with Dillon's coming as a second-inning double.
Edge, Burkett, Branum, Moore and Nimmer each scored two runs apiece while Daniel Frazier and Parsons each scored one.
Burkett earned the win for Greenville.
Greenville 6, Eufala 4
Daniel Frazier had three hits, including a double and a fifth-inning home run, the lead Greenville past Eufala, 6-4.
After Hunter Harrell and Jared Edge reached base on errors in the fifth inning, Todd Burkett moved them over of a sacrifice fly and Frazier blasted a home run to give Greenville a 6-1 lead.
Eufala fought back and scored three runs in the final two innings, but it wasn't enough.
Rush Nimmer had two hits for Greenville with Nathan Branum and Harrell also each scattering a hit.
Harrell led Greenville in runs scored with two while Edge, Frazier, Nimmer, and Caleb Parsons each scoring one.
Zach Stafford led Eufala offensively with two hits while Jesse Riles, Tyler Crouch, Bryan Bratcher and Cody Sanders each scattered a hit.
Greenville 10, Troy 8
Hunter Harrell had three hits, including a double and a triple, to lead Greenville over Troy, 10-8.
Nathan Branum had two hits in the win, including a double, while Todd Burkett, Stewart Moody, Caleb Parsons and Dillon Frazier each scattered a single.
Greenville had a huge second inning with Harrell, Jared Edge, Branum, Rush Nimmer, Parsons and Dillon Frazier each reaching base and scoring, and then backed that inning up in the fifth with three more runs.
Parsons was the leading scorer for Greenville with three runs scored while Branum and Nimmer each scored two runs apiece. Harrell, Edge and Dillon Frazier also scored a run for the winning team.
For Troy, Martinez Larkin was the leading hitter with two hits, including a double, while Jayden Barnes, Nathan Barron and Chase Connell each scattered one hit, including Barron's seventh-inning double.
Barron and Michael Benton led Troy with two runs apiece while Barnes, Larkin, Sam Carroll, and Evan Strother each scored one run.
Burkett picked up the win for Greenville with Carroll picking up the loss for Troy.
