School bells will soon be tolling around county

Time has a way of tricking you. At the end of May, school bells seemed so far away but August is here upon us and very soon parents, their children, administrators and faculty will be heading back to school.

Included in this issue is our special Back to School tab, listing the classroom supplies required by our various county schools. Parents can use this 12-page section as a reference point for back-to-school shopping. With the Sales Tax Holiday in place, parents will be able to utilize this guide next weekend when purchasing their children's supplies.

We've also been able to include homeroom assignments for Fort Dale Academy, Greenville High School and McKenzie School. Unfortunately, we were unable to include R.L. Austin, W.O. Parmer, Greenville Elementary and Georgiana High, in this section because of press deadlines.

We apologize for this inconvenience - to the faculty, students and parents at those schools - but we will list the remaining homeroom assignments in a regular edition of The Greenville Advocate prior to the first day of school.

We hope this year is one of the best ever for each of our county's schools. And for the Class of 2007Šsee you in May!
