Williamson, Ellis united in June marriage

Leah McGowin Williamson of Greenville and Henry Jackson Ellis of Charleston, S.C., were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville on June 24, 2006. The Reverend Jeffrey Leavon Hamm performed the 5 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Jackson Williamson Jr. of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Martin Sanders and the late Mrs. Sanders of Cleveland, Miss. and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Jackson Williamson of Greenville.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Avery Larue Ellis of Hanahan, S.C. and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johannes Konrad Austermann of Mastholte, Germany and the late Mr. and Mrs. Liston Hennessey Ellis of Yauhanna, S.C.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Alice Sanders Williamson of New York City as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Elizabeth Gorton of Decatur, Sarah Bernadette Deierlein, Meredith Lybrook Jarvis and Denise Rebecca Myers all of Charleston, S.C.

Attending the groom as best man was Christopher Scott Cain of Santa Maria, Calif. Groomsmen were Roger Stephan Ellis of Kapolei, Hawaii, brother of the groom; Captain Ross Gordon Bielanski of Centerville, Utah, John Dalton Keen III of Charleston and Chad David Shultz of Stockton, Calif.

A reception followed at the home of the bride. The couple will reside in Lexington, Virginia.
