Mr. and Mrs. David Hartin announce the engagement of their daughter, Candace Dawn Hartin, to Logan Michael Atkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Atkins of Fancy Farm, Kentucky.

The wedding will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7 at South Luverne Baptist Church in Luverne, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hartin of Red Level, Ala.

She is a graduate of Luverne High School and attended Auburn University, where she received bachelor degrees in mechanical engineering and poultry science.

She is employed by Pilgrim's Pride of Kentucky.

The prospective bride-groom is the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. H. B. Atkins of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Mrs. Wilmuth Carrico and the late Harold Carrico of Fancy Farm, Ky.

He is a graduate of Murray State University where he received a bachelor's degree in agribusiness.

He is employed by Pilgrim's Pride of Kentucky.

Both families would like to extend an invitation to the family and friends of the couple.
