Williams, Hughes to wed Oct. 7

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Malcolm Williams of Rutledge are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shelly Nicole Williams, to William Michael Hughes, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Fox Hughes, Jr. of Troy.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Taylor of Rutledge, Ms. Clara Wells Williams of Luverne and the late Mr. J. C. Williams of Dozier.
She is also the great-granddaughter of Myrtle Davis of Troy.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William Richard Murphree of Luverne, Ms. Erin Hughes Williams and the late Mr. William Fox Hughes, Sr., of Goshen.
Miss Williams is a graduate of Luverne High School.
She graduated from Troy University with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.
She is employed as a teacher with the Troy City School System.
Mr. Hughes is a graduate of Pike Liberal Arts School.
He attended Troy University.
He is a graduate of Okefenokee Technical College in Waycross, Georgia.
He is employed as a conductor with CSX Transportation.
The couple will exchange vows on October 7, 2006, at the First Baptist Church of Luverne at 2:30 in the afternoon.
All friends and family of the couple are invited to attend.
