The Southeast Alabama Gas District will observe Public Natural Gas Week October 2-6th along with hundreds of other natural gas systems across the nation.
The City of Luverne will hold its Open House activities on Thursday, Oct. 5.
Luverne Mayor Joe Rex Sport signed an official proclamation Sept. 27 declaring the week of Oct. 2 through Oct. 6 as Public Natural Gas Week for the City of Luverne.
The Southeast Alabama Gas District serves approximately 30,000 customers in 14 member towns and cities in southeast Alabama.
Public Natural Gas Week is a cooperative effort among all segments of the natural gas industry and increases public awareness of the advantages of public gas.
Natural gas is among the cleanest and most affordable fuels available.
“The employees and management of The Southeast Alabama Gas District are pleased and excited to be able to participate in this important effort,” Greg Henderson, Southeast Alabama Gas District President and CEO, said.
