The breezes are cooler and the leaves are turning inviting shades of gold, red and brown. That can only mean it's almost time for the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce's Low Country Boil.

The annual event is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. Thursday, November 2 at the Butler County Fairgrounds, rain or shinne.

&#8220We are looking forward to another great event and promise lots of good food, music, door prizes and more,” Carol Lee, C of C director, said.

As always, there will be plenty of low country specialties to enjoy, such as boiled shrimp, jambalaya, sausages, corn on the cob, whole roasted potatoes and seasoned white beans, along with favorite beverages to wash it all down.

A bevy of door prizes donated by area businesses will be awarded to those in attendance, Lee said.

&#8220The Low Country Boil is a great way to spend time with friends and to make new ones along the way. It is a wonderful community event,” she added.

Tickets for the Low Country Boil are $25 each and you must be 21 years of age to attend.

&#8220We only have a limited number of tickets, so we recommend folks get them early,” Lee said.

Tickets are available at the Chamber office at the Depot.
