Mark your calendars for November 9. That's the evening W. O. Parmer Elementary School welcomes one and all to its Fall Festival.
The festive event is slated for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 at the W.O. Parmer Elementary School Gymnasium.
“We have lots of fun activities scheduled for the kids,” April Boatwright, W.O. Parmer teacher and member of the Fall Festival Committee, said.
Children can enjoy bouncing in the moonwalk, zooming down the slide and playing all sorts of games from duck pond to bean bag toss. They will also have the chance to win tons of great prizes, Boatwright said.
“We will also have lots of tasty food on hand for everyone to enjoy.”
A genuine racecar will be on display for all those race fans out there, Boatwright said.
Fall Festival King and Queen will also be crowned during the evening's festivities.
“We all have several baskets of goodies we will be raffling off, including a variety of donations from businesses and people in our community. They will be on display that night and be given away during the festival,” Boatwright said.
“You don't have to be present to win, so we encourage everyone to support the school and go ahead and buy lots of tickets!” Raffle tickets will also be available the night of the festival.
Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students and children three and under are admitted free.
