n Rummage Sale for Masonic Lodge

The Georgiana Masonic Lodge is holding a fundraiser rummage sale starting at 8 a.m. today. Location is 249 Jones St., one block west of G'ana Hospital.

Sweet Potato Festival

The Butler County Optimist Club's Annual Sweet Potato Festival will be held on November 4, 2006 at the Butler County Fairgrounds. The festival begins at 10 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m.

Some of the activities include performances by the praise dancers from various churches, hula hoop contests, the seven-shape singers, and the crowning of the kings and queens.

Items for sale will vary; cakes, pies, cookies, hot dogs, candied apples, hot fish sandwiches, soft drinks, crocheted bedspreads and other items will be available. For further information, call 382-3203, 382-2722 or 382-3867.

Seminar at Antioch East

Ladies' Night Out Ministry of Antioch East Baptist Church invites ladies to a seminar on November 4, 2006 entitled &#8220Hey, Whose Birthday is It, Anyway?” as presented bv Bob and Beth Crittendon of WLBF-FM Radio Station in Montgomery. First Assembly of God at 760 North Conecuh St., Greenville, will be presenting &#8220Heaven's Gate and Hell's Flames,” a high-impact, live Christian drama you'll never forget. A Hunter Education Class is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 6, 7, and 8 at LBW campus in Greenville. Must be ten years or older to graduate. City of Greenville Blood Drive

The American Red Cross and the City of Greenville are conducting a blood drive today, Nov. 7, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the Red Cross bus, 119 E. Commerce St., Greenville. Positive ID required to donate. All presenting donors will receive a T-shirt, as well as be entered into a drawing to win two Delta Airlines round-trip tickets. Come out and give the gift of life!

Veteran's Day Celebration

The Butler County Historical Society invites everyone to a day of celebration honoring the Alabama National Guard Butler County Unit and all veterans of all wars, slated for Saturday, November 11 in Confederate Park.
