Left: Corporal Clifton Trotter, left, was presented with a special resolution and recognition by Crenshaw County Commissioner Charlie Sankey, Jr., on Friday, Nov. 24, on the steps of the Crenshaw County Courthouse. Comm. Sankey made the presentation on behalf of the entire Crenshaw County Commission. Several other county and city officials were on hand along with family and friends of Corp. Trotter. The resolution was to honor Corp. Trotter for his heroic duties in Fallujah, Iraq. He was shot by enemy fire on Jan. 5, 2006. He is presently stationed in Parris Island, S.C., U.S. Marine Corp. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Trotter of Luverne.
