The Greenville Advocate will open its doors to warmly welcome the community from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. next Thursday, December 14 at the newspaper's Hickory Street offices.

&#8220We are once again holding our holiday open house, and we hope lots of folks will stop in to enjoy holiday refreshments,

festive music and decorations, and a chance to mix and mingle together next Thursday,” said Lea Fennell, Advocate office manager.

An opportunity to save on one-year subscriptions to The Greenville Advocate will also be offered that evening.

&#8220As a way of saying ‘Merry Christmas' to our customers, we are taking $10 off the regular one-year subscription rate for both in-county and out-of-county delivery during our open house,” Fennell said.

Staff members from both the Luverne Journal and Greenville Advocate offices will be on hand to meet and greet guests during the open house, which has become an eagerly awaited tradition each December at the newspaper office.

&#8220We get many people calling in and stopping by in the weeks leading up to the event to find out when it will be,” Fennell said.

&#8220It's a great time to renew your own subscription or order a gift subscription for a family member or friend, a gift they can enjoy all year long.”

The 4 p.m. start also allows customers who don't like to be outside after dark a chance to participate, Fennell said.

&#8220We hope to see you there next Thursday so we can wish you a Merry Christmas, Greenville Advocate-style.”
