B.J. Auto Sales take down West Point in Rec. League action

The fourth week of the Greenville Parks and Rec. men's basketball league games took place Monday night and below are the recaps and results.

B.J. Auto Sales 99, West Point 52

Five players for the B.J. Auto Sales team scored in double digits Monday night as they cruised to victory over team West Point, 99-52.

Lloyd Coleman had a team-high 19 points for B.J. Auto Sales, followed by Dee Livingston with 17 points, Kahari Hardy with 13 points, Chris Anderson with 12 and former University of Alabama and Boston Celtic player Marcus Webb had 10 points.

Coleman, Livingston, Hardy, Anderson and Webb combined for 13 three-pointers.

Derrick Evans and Marcus Love also each had eight points and Stanley Lamar had seven in the win.

For team West Point, Kentell Smith had a game-high 26 points, Deangelo Savage had eight points and Henry Thomas and David Oliver each had seven points in the loss.

The B.J. Auto Sales team will take on the A-Town Playas Jan. 8 at 8:30 p.m. at the Dunbar gym, while team West Point will take team Extreme Audio at 6:30 p.m. at the Dunbar gym.

G.P. All-Stars 76, Extreme Audio 73

Desmond Walker had a game-high 21 points Monday night to lead the G.P. All-Stars over team Extreme Audio, 76-73.

Although the G.P. All-Stars were outscored 18-9 in the final period, they were able to sink 7-of-9 free throws to secure the win.

Followed by Walker for the G.P. All-Stars was Preston Waller with 18 points while Willie Walker also had nine points.

Jai Hill had eight points and Lawarence Stone and Jerod Warren each had six in the win.

For team Extreme Audio, Gee-Vanne Cooper was the team's leading scorer with 19, followed by Kevin Norris with 13 points, Barry Owens with 12 points and Quinton McCastle with 10.

The G.P. All-Stars return to action Jan. 8 against the Southern Outlaws at 7:30 p.m. at the old Greenville High School. Team Extreme Audio will take West Point Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dunbar gym.

Hwashin 66, And 1

Cory Bedgood had a game-high 27 points Monday night to lead team Hwashin over team And 1, 66-55.

Following Bedgood was Johnny Holley with 12 points, Michael Ball with 11 points and Cordrick Johnson with eight.

For team And 1, Bubb Bass had a team-high 20 points, followed by Rodney Davidson with 10 points and Holsie Griffin with nine.

John Scott also had seven points in the loss.

Team Hwashin will return to action Jan. 8 as they take on team Computer Shack at 7:30 p.m. at the Dunbar gym. And 1 will take on team FYE Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the old Greenville High School.

FYE 71, Computer Shack 51

Twelve players scored for team FYE Monday night en route to a 71-51 victory over team Computer Shack.

Lenard Scott and Joe Watson each had 15 points for FYE while Doug Martin Jr. and Earnest Wilson each had seven. Torey Smith was next with six points while Donnie Kemp and Levy Kelly each had five in the win.

For team Computer Shack, Rashad Knight was the leading scorer with 17 points while LaDarrence Perdue contributed 10.

Roosevelt Moore had nine points, Demario Roper had seven and Isich Mack had six in the loss.

Team FYE will return to action Jan. 8 against team And 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the old Greenville High School. Computer Shack will take on team Hwashin Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Dunbar gym.

A-Town Playas-Southern Outlaws (cancelled)

The game between the A-Town Playas and the Southern Outlaws was called in the second half Monday night due to a fight.

The A-Town Playas will return to action Jan. 8 against the B.J. Auto Sales team at 8:30 p.m. at the Dunbar gym. The Southern Outlaws will take on the G.P. All-Stars Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the old Greenville High School.
