Joseph A. Davis and Johna M. Davidson of Greenville, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mia M. Davis, to Terrance J. Powell, son of Dewayne Williams and Patricia Powell of Greenville.

The bride-elect, who originally hailed from the Chicago area, is a 2003 graduate of Greenville High School.

She is a junior at Troy University where she is majoring in Elementary Education and Administration.

Miss Davis is a member of New Beginning Ministries in Greenville, where Elder Harold Daniels is pastor.

The groom-elect, a Greenville native, is also a 2003 graduate of GHS.

Mr. Powell attends Lurleen B. Wallace Community College where he is majoring in Physical Education. He is a member of Pine Flat Methodist Church where Rev. John Taylor is pastor.

The couple plans to unite as one before God, family and friends at 4 p.m. May 26, 2007 at Southside Baptist Church in Greenville.
