Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Petrey of Luverne, Alabama, and Mr. and Mrs. Hartley McLaney of Sprague, Alabama, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Kay McLaney, to Stephen Harris Stanley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Smith and the late Mack Stanley of Fultondale, Alabama.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Hattie McLaney Smith and the late Cephus Knox McLaney and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubie Cauthen, all of Sprague, Alabama.

She is a 1993 graduate of Crenshaw Christian Academy in Luverne, Alabama, and graduated from Troy State University with a degree in Human Resource Management.

She is employed by the Alabama Department of Transportation in Troy, Alabama.

The future groom is the grandson of the late John G. Cameron and the late Marie Cameron of Fultondale, Alabama.

He is a 1993 graduate of Fultondale High School in Fultondale, Alabama, and attended Northwest Community College.

He is employed by Sam Brown Painting in Troy, Alabama.

The wedding will be Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the Preserve Resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
