Fort Dale Academy Lady Eagles Jennifer and Morgan Pouncey have been chosen to play in the AISA All-Star basketball game that will take place Friday at Huntingdon College at 6 p.m.

Fort Dale head coach Reggie Mantooth has coached many good players during his career as the Lady Eagles' coach, but Mantooth said the Pouncey's have been extra special.

&#8220They both set an example of working hard and they came ready to practice everyday,” Mantooth said. &#8220And being sisters, they play well together.”

Jennifer, who led the Eagles in scoring and steals, was a vital part of the Eagles Final Four run this season.

&#8220(Jennifer) really had a great year offensively for us and she is very deserving of being chosen to play in the All-Star game,” Mantooth said.

Morgan, who was second in scoring and rebounds for the Lady Eagles, was also a huge part of Fort Dale's success.

&#8220(Morgan) did everything we asked of her this season,” Mantooth said. &#8220She is one of the best leaders on our team and she had a great year.”

Together, the Pouncey's laid a foundation for the Eagles for years to come.

&#8220They were a big part of our success, especially with their experience and their ability to score at anytime,” Mantooth said of the sisters.
