Anyone wishing to see a little bit of living history will have the chance to do just that this Saturday, March 3, as the Lonesome Dove Ranch will bring a wagon train and a cattle drive through Crenshaw County on its way to the Southeastern Livestock Exposition Rodeo in Montgomery.
The rodeo, which will be celebrating its 50th year, is scheduled for March 8 - 10.
The wagon train will be driving a herd of Longhorn cattle through Andalusia, Brantley, Luverne, and then on into Montgomery.
The group is expected to arrive in Andalusia this Friday, March 2, at 9 a.m., while it is scheduled to arrive in downtown Brantley on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The cattle drive should reach Luverne and come down South Forest Avenue between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Luverne Mayor Joe Rex Sport said that everyone should come out and see a small picture of “living history.”
The Southeastern Livestock Exposition Rodeo will be held in Montgomery at the Garrett Coliseum.
