When God calls and people answer mighty things happen. For Greenville native Carolyn Griffin, this was certainly the case.

Her untiring work in the ministry for many years was recognized Feb. 10, 2007 by The Southern Association of Ministries.

At 1:35 p.m., following a moving ceremony at the Call to Life Worship Center on Glendale Ave. in Greenville, Carolyn Griffin became fully licensed and ordained as Evangelist Carolyn Griffin.

God doesn’t ask for our ability. He simply asks for our availability but in this case we got both.

Carolyn graduated from Greenville High School in 1977 and was the class salutatorian. She had the potential to be successful at anything she put her mind to but felt led to the ministry.

&uot;My mom, Rev. Bettie Bones, now 84 years old, is still active in the church and instilled Christian values in me which gave me a good foundation to build on,&uot; Carolyn said.

Her vision which is spelled out on her website is, in part, to see the body of Christ come together as one by crossing racial, gender, and denominational barriers; to see strongholds torn down that brings division among us; and to see all humankind come into the saving knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.

In April 1995 Warrior Ministries was born as a support ministry to the Body of Christ and to the community at large.

Initially, it was an Intercessory Prayer Ministry.

Prayer Warriors and Intercessors nationwide were united together in prayer for the uplifting of humanity, the nurturing and growth of the Body of Christ, and to honor and promote the indwelling Spirit of unspeakable joy and inner peace. As we prayed, the vision began to grow.

In September of 1998, Warrior Ministries was incorporated in the state of Georgia.

The active ministries included Brother&uot;HOOD&uot;, Sister&uot;HOOD&uot;, and Y.M.E. (youth ministry).

Now, almost twelve years later and based in Greenville, Ala, there are 12 ministries and a radio broadcast that can be heard world wide over the internet on www.warrior-ministries.org.

&uot;I am very happy that Evangelist Griffin was ordained because she is a visionary,&uot; said Pastor Cecilia Adams of the House of Prayer in Greenville where Carolyn attends. &uot;She is determined not to let anything or anybody hinder the vision God has given her from coming to pass. She is very sincere and dedicated to the work of the kingdom.

&uot;God has given us a great &#8220Kingdom Assignment”, Evangelist Griffin said. &uot;Please pray with us and for us in our faithfulness as we go forth pressing toward our &#8220Destiny” in the &#8220Kingdom”.
