The baseball and softball teams have kicked off their 2007 season.

The Brantley High School Varsity baseball team has a 12-7 record.

Their area record is 2-0, which puts them in as first in their area at the present time.

The players are Jonathon Helms, Austin Brook, Terry McClain, Patrick Kilcrease, Chase Haws, Wesley Spivey, Roy L. Knighten, Anthony Gulley, Chase Hall, Wesley Hall, Jared Hall, Chris Walker, Tyrone Person, Lee Anderson, Bo Bowlan, and Stephen Walker.

Their coaches are Mr. Greg Evans and Mr. Ashley Kilcrease.

The BHS Varsity softball team has just begun their season.

They played in the Straughn Tournament last weekend.

They will also play in the Pleasant Home Tournament this weekend.

The members are Melissa Walker, Eisha Person, Macy Owens, Alicia Alejo, Adrianna Alejo, Hillary Hudson, Bridgetta Hines, Nikki Bailey, Deanza Sheridan, Sitembile Lee, Ieshia Wytch, Carolina Allen, Helen Walker, Tiffany Lester, Crystal Rayborn, and Brittany Ballard.

Their coach is Mrs. Cindy Hawthorne.

The Junior Varsity baseball team has a 9-9 record.

The members are Landon LaSalle, Dillion Motes, Matthew Holmes, Cassius Tillis, Austin Hardin, Devante Porter, Toriono Upshaw, Taylor Tew, Tyrone Person, Adam Hill, Reed Kilcrease, Russ Kilcrease, Jared Wiley, Zach Wiley, Jared Hall, Wesley Person, Chase Hall, and Chris Walker.

The Junior Varsity softball team has a 7-5 record.

They placed third in the Luverne tournament.

Their last game was on Tuesday, March 27, against Straughn.

Their members are Keandre Daniels, Hillary Dean, Jacy Kelley, Paige Cook, Jessi Davis, Eisha Person, Chelsea Moseley, Melissa Walker, Nikki Bailey, Macy Owens, Hillary Hudson, Adrianna Alejo, Alicia Alejo, Samantha Rayborn, and Bridgetta Hines.

Their managers are Chandler Robertson and Hasina Lee. Their statistician is Tori Whitehurst.

Their coach is Mrs. Cindy Hawthorne.

Also, students at Brantley are eagerly preparing for the SAT and ARMT testing.

Testing begins April 2nd and ends April 11th.

This involves grades 1-8.
