Last week, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, the SGA (Student Government Association) sponsored a &uot;Shamrock Sale&uot; for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

They encouraged a competition with the grade having the highest sales winning a pizza party.

The Shamrock Sale raised a total of $3,512.

Luverne High School was number one in the Southeast Alabama and West Florida region.

Winners were the 10th grade in high school and Mrs. Donna McDougald’s and Mrs. Lynn Miller’s classes in the elementary school.

The LHS Varsity girls’ softball team, under the direction of Coach Dale Simmons, has an undefeated start to their season with wins over Georgiana, Elba, Brantley, Red Level and Highland Home.

The Junior Class of Luverne High School will be hosting the Junior-Senior Prom on Friday, April 6th.

This year’s theme will be &uot;Mardi Gras.&uot;

Come out and see everyone all decked out during the lead-out on prom night.
