Patricia Smith of Tupelo, Miss., formerly of Luverne, and Dr. Roger H. Smith of Greenville, formerly of Luverne, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Leah Elizabeth Smith, to Daniel Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Wilson of Destrehan, La.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Edith Griffin of Tupelo, Miss. and the late Vaudry E. Griffin and Merle Smith of Greenville and the late Wilburn H. Smith.

Miss Smith graduated with honors from Tupelo High School, Tupelo, Miss. in 2001 and previously attended Crenshaw Christian Academy in Luverne through the eighth grade.

She earned a B.S. in speech pathology as an honor graduate of The University of Mississippi, where she is currently a graduate student in communicative disorders.

Miss Smith also serves as a graduate assistant to the Department of Communication Disorders.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Glaston Temple of Bay Springs, Miss. and the late Bernadine Temple and the late Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wilson, also of Bay Springs.

Mr. Wilson, a student at The University of Mississippi, is presently employed by The University of Mississippi.

The wedding will take place at 2:30 p.m. May 19, 2007 at Harrisburg Baptist Church in Tupelo, Miss.
