Fight to the finish

Down by one in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Georgiana Panthers rallied from behind Tuesday to score five runs, thus sealing the victory over the McKenzie Tigers, 8-4.
The Panthers trailed for nearly the entire game until the five-run sixth inning.
Offensively for the Panthers, Kyle Nelson and Chris Shows each scored two runs and Jerrod Lee was 1-for-3 at the plate.
For McKenzie, Jeffrey Boenig was 1-for-4 with a run scored, Justin Smith was 1-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored, Daniel Ballard was 1-for-3 and Chance Davis was 1-for-3 with a double.
On the mound, Terrence Whittle earned the win for Georgiana while Chance Davis picked up the loss.
The Panthers will return to action Friday as they play host to the Highland Home Flying Squadron at 4:30 p.m.
McKenzie will host Pleasant Home Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

The Highland Home Flying Squadron opened an early lead over the Georgiana Panthers Friday and held on for the win, 8-3.
At the plate for the Panthers, Kyle Nelson was the leading hitter, going 3-for-4. Donald Scott and Chris Shows were each 2-for-3 while Adonis Peterson, Kevin Brogden and Ronald Scott each scattered a hit.
For Highland Home, Findley and Harris each scored two runs.
Terrence Whittle picked up the loss for Georgiana.
Pleasant Home 7, McKenzie 3
The McKenzie Tigers battled back-and-forth with the Pleasant Home Eagles Thursday but came up just short, 7-3.
Jeffrey Boenig was the leading hitter for McKenzie, going 2-for-3 with a double. Chance Davis also had a double for the Tigers and Dustin Shell scored two runs.
Offensively for Pleasant Home, Sanders scored two runs.
Sattrick Rudolph picked up the loss for McKenzie.
