FDA JV girls#039; softball ends season with a win

The Fort Dale Academy junior varsity softball season came to a close Monday with the Eagles going out on a high note as they split a double-header with the Lowndes Academy Rebels.
The Eagles took the final game of the season 4-2 but fell in the first game 8-1.
In the second game of the double-header, Lori Fail and Katie Wilson knocked back-to-back doubles in the fourth inning to bring in the winning two runs.
Wilson finished as the Eagles' leading hitter, going 2-for-2 at the plate with a run scored and two RBIs.
Erin Taylor was 2-for-3 with a run scored and a triple while Fail, Anne Blake Langford and Murphy Middleton each scattered a hit.
Fail and Langford also each scored a run.
On the mound, Wilson picked up the win while striking out seven batters.
In the first game the Eagles scattered only two hits as the Rebels jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and never looked back.
At the plate for the Eagles, Langford and Middleton had the only two hits with Langford scoring Fort Dale's only run.
Taylor picked up the loss for Fort Dale while striking out seven batters.
