Walker lifts Jays to victory

Takira Walker had a pair of homeruns, a triple and scored three runs Thursday as the Blue Jays defeated the Lady Tide for the first Dixie Angels win, 19-4.

Rhiya Daneil and Kristen Jordan also each hit a homerun in the win.

Daniel finished with three runs scored for the Blue Jays (1-2), Jordan also finished with a triple and two runs scored, Olivia Foster, Devin Duke, Chelsey Mink and Alexis Wilson scored two runs apiece and Mary Glenn Fuller, Tristin Howes, and Madison McNaughton each scored one.

For the Lady Tide (0-3), Mallory Conway hit a homerun and scored a run, Callie Waite hit a triple, Lekonna Powell hit a double and Charli hood and Alexia Johnson each scored a run.

The Blue Jays will take on the Rebels Monday at 6 p.m., and the Lady Tide will take on the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m.

Rebels 23, Yellow Jackets 5

Kindal Harrell and Taylor Waller each hit a homerun and scored three runs Monday to help lift the Rebels to victory over the Yellow Jackets, 23-5.

Waller also had a triple and Harrell had a double for the Rebels (3-0), while Sarah Elizabeth finished with three doubles and three runs scored.

Taylor King, Caitlyn Brooks and Emily Webster also each hit a double for the Rebels.

Sarah Elizabeth Owens and Carmen Till each scored three runs, Alex Merry, Janazie Thompson, King and Webster each scored two and Ieshia Powell, Keauna Steele and Brooks each scored one in the win.

For the Yellow Jackets (2-1), Hanna Owens and Taylor Jordan had the only two hits while Mya Coleman, Morgan Perdue, Ashlyn McKeown, Owens and Jordan each scored a run.

The Rebels will take on the Blue Jays Monday at 6 p.m.,

and the Yellow Jackets will take on the Lady Tide at 7:30 p.m.
