Orioles earn first win of the season

Cody Harrell was 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored Monday to help lift the Orioles to their first victory of the season over the Indians, 10-5.

Devon Middleton, Kolby Booker and Brady Vincent also each had a hit for the Orioles (1-4).

Ross Till and Booker were the leading scorers for the Orioles with two runs apiece, followed by Mark Bradley, Kris Wilson, Dillon Brown, Middleton and Vincent with run apiece.

For the Indians (1-4), Chardarrius Davison scored two runs while Will Smith, Cody Parker, Dalton Hood and Deaton Owens each scored one. Owens also had a triple for the Indians.

The Orioles will return to action Friday as they take on the Yankees at 6 p.m. The Indians will take on the Red Sox Thursday at 6 p.m.

Braves 4, Red Sox 3

Anthony Dunbar scored the winning run in the top half of the sixth inning Monday as the Braves toppled the Red Sox, 4-3.

Offensively for the Braves (4-1), Payton Frazier was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a run scored, Draklin Scoggins was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and Hunter Gentry was 1-for-3.

For the Red Sox (4-1), Ryan Burkett was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Daniel Hall Autrey and Drake Cabe each had a hit and Joseph Peavy and Nathan Looney each scored a run.

The Braves will return to action Thursday as they take on the Yankees at 7:30 p.m. The Red Sox will take on the Indians Thursday at 6 p.m.
