Braves and Cardinals each win two in G#039;ana Dixie Youth action

Zack Gaston and Chance House scored two runs apiece Thursday as the Braves slipped by the Pirates to take the Georgiana Parks and Recreation Department Dixie Youth win, 6-5.

Rounding out the Braves at the plate was Jay Williams and Keondra Peterson each with a run scored.

For the Pirates, Tarien Crittenden scored two runs while Jatavious Finley, Orlando Boggan and Geron Feagin each scored one.

The Braves will return to action Tuesday as they take on the Cardinals at 6 p.m. The Pirates will take on the Cardinals Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Cardinals 8, Braves 6

The Cardinals scored six runs in the second inning Thursday and it proved to be enough as they took the close victory over the Braves, 8-6.

Offensively for the Cardinals, Rodney Cheatham, Brandon Oikle, Matt Lewis, Rakeem Hugler, Tyler Smith, Areney Peterson, Kyle Compton and Makaveli Eddins each scored a run in the win,

For the Braves, Keondra Peterson scored two runs while Zack Gaston, Christopher Cobb, Matt Colvin, Chance House and Hunter Smith each scored one,

The Cardinals will return to action Tuesday as they take on the Braves at 6 p.m., and then the Pirates at 7 p.m.

Braves 10, Pirates 5

Jay Williams and Zack Gaston each scored two runs Tuesday night as they Braves sunk the Pirates to earn the victory, 10-5.

Keondra Patterson, Chris Cobb, Matt Colvin, Chance House, Hunter Smith and Andy Colvin also each scored a run in the win.

For the Pirates, Orlando Boggan was the leading scorer with two runs, followed by Richard Boggan, Tarien Crittenden and Devin Bonner with one run scored apiece.

Cardinals 9, Pirates 1

The Cardinals scored two runs in every inning but the third Tuesday to help lift them to victory over the Pirates, 9-1.

Tyler Smith, Rodney and Artney led the Cardinals with two runs apiece while Zack Compton, Mike Dunn and Matt Lewis each scored one in the win.

For the Pirates, Tarien Crittenden scored the lone run in the fourth inning.
