Angels erase deficit in win

The Angels batted around in the final inning Monday, scoring 10 runs, to erase a nine-point deficit in the Dixie Ponytails win over the Red Sox, 11-10.

Offensively for the Angels (2-5), Bethany Nolan was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. Keonna Brown and Jeanna Dorman each scored two runs while Brandi Cofer, Amber Harris, Amelia Grider, Linsey Niehaus, Alisha Stewart and China Powell each scored one run.

For the Red Sox (2-5), Brittany Reaves was 1-for-3 with two runs scored, Hannah Johnson was 1-for-3 with one runs scored, Bridgejue Paterson scored three runs, Haley Williams scored two and Chyenne Bell and Ashley Ballard each scored one.

The Angels will take on the Heat Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Red Sox will take on the Dixie Chicks at 6 p.m.

Heat 16, Dixie Chicks 4

The Heat scored eight runs in the second inning Monday and held on for the victory over the Dixie Chicks to remain perfect on the season, 16-4.

Offensively for the Heat (7-0), Kasi Graham, Rebecca Dicks and Whitney Boswell each scored three runs, Taylor Merry and Daphne Moore each scored two runs and Hannah Burnett, Dana Moore and Kayla Herring each score one.

For the Dixie Chicks (3-4), Brooke Bland was 1-for-2 with a run scored, Brittany Gard was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, Jade Watson was 1-for-3 and Colby Benson and Kendra McNaughton each scored one run.

The Heat will take on the Angels Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and the Dixie Chicks will take on the Red Sox at 6 p.m.
