The McKenzie High varsity football team will suit up Friday, half in blue and half in white, for the Blue-White intrasquad football game.
“I think they're getting excited,” McKenzie head coach Miles Brown said.
After Wednesday's practice, the team will meet and hold a draft to sort out the blue team and the white team.
“We'll try to evenly split the teams,” Brown said.
During this week's practice, Brown said the team has still been working on learning and understanding schemes and formations, but he has seen some bright spots.
“Our offensive line has looked good this week for us and our defensive line has looked good this week for us,” Brown said.
The Tigers will hold an athletic banquet Thursday beginning at 6 p.m., before Friday's Blue-White scrimmage at 1:30 p.m.
McKenzie will conclude spring practice May 18 at 7 p.m., at home against the New Brockton Gamecocks.
