Camellia Girls, Chamber Pages selected

A total of 25 young people have been selected to serve as Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce Camellia Girls and Chamber Pages for the 2007-2008 year.

&#8220We believe this will be a very exciting and worthwhile experience for everyone involved,” said GACOC Executive Director Francine Wasden.

&#8220We are very pleased with the outstanding group of students we have selected to serve this year, and we look forward to a great year together.”

The new Chamber Pages and Camellia Girls are: Wynn Boan, a 10th grader at Fort Dale Academy, daughter of Barry and Amy Boan; Hayden Brown, a senior at FDA, daughter of David and Patty Brown; Lauren Bryan, a senior at Greenville High School, daughter of Amy and Darren Bryan; Halie Burnette, a senior at GHS, daughter of Greg and Beth Burnette; Caroline Dunklin, a junior at FDA, daughter of Jimmy and Tyler Dunklin; Elizabeth Dunklin, a junior at FDA, daughter of Jimmy and Tyler Dunklin; Renesha Gardner, a 10th grader at GHS, daughter of M.W. Gardner and Lillian Gardener; Kendall Gibson, a junior at FDA, son of Ken Gibson; Andrew Allen Godwin, a senior at GHS, son of W.S. and Rebecca Godwin; Tammara Hamilton, a senior at GHS, daughter of Tommie and Tammy Hamilton; Brittany Huckaba, a 10th grader at FDA, daughter of Jerry and Brenda Huckaba; Andrew Jones, a senior at FDA, son of Jack and Ellen Jones; Steven Lee, a junior at FDA, son of Steve and Carol Lee; Cooper Lewis, a 10th grader at FDA, son of Bill and Alison Lewis; Dajour Lewis, a 10th grader at GHS, daughter of Jacqueline Lewis; Candice Nichols, a junior at FDA, daughter of Jeff and Debra Nichols; Nicole Norton, a junior at GHS, daughter of Charles and Vera Norton; Evelyn Poole, a senior at FDA, daughter of Cleve and Faye Poole; Casey Rogers, a junior at FDA, son of Steve and Linda Rogers; Rosemary Russell, a junior at FDA, daughter of Mack and Marianne Russell; Dustin Till, a 10th grader at FDA, son of Angela Till and George Till; Isabella Wesley, a 10th grader at FDA, daughter of Cody and Debbie Wesley, and Erin Wood, a junior at GHS, daughter of Cara Wood.

The students will have a busy year ahead of them, Wasden said.

&#8220This program is designed to be an opportunity for our young men and women to become a part of the business community as they are exposed to programs provided by The Chamber,” the director said.

&#8220These young people will assist at Business After and Before Hours, quarterly meetings, ribbon cuttings, grand openings, special functions and at various other events as requested by Chamber members or the Executive Committee of the Chamber.”

Some of the upcoming events the Pages and Girls will assist with include a Red Cross Blood Drive on June 12 at the Depot; an &#8220After Hours” at Cambrian Ridge on June 14 and &#8220Celebrate America!,” a patriotic evening of fun, music and fireworks, slated for June 30 at the GHS Stadium.
