Gators chomp Vipers for the Jr./Sr. league win

Katie Wilson was 2-for-3 with a run scored Monday as the Gators took a bite out of the Vipers for the Jr./Sr. league victory, 4-2.

At the plate for the Gators (6-0), Wilson had the only hits while Erin Taylor, Kristen Ballard and Dakota Cantrell each scored a run.

For the Vipers (4-3), Conner Murphy White was 1-for-2, Cortnee Meyers was 1-for-3 and Abby Blackmon and Murphy Middleton each scored a run.

The Gators will take on the Dolls Thursday at 6 p.m., and the Vipers will take on the Unbelievable at 7:30 p.m.

Dolls 7, Vipers 6

Carrie Coker and Michelle Hulick each scored in the fifth inning Friday to lead the Dolls to the come-from-behind Jr./Sr. league victory over the Vipers, 7-6.

Offensively for the Dolls (2-4), Julie Scott, Coker and Hulick each scored two runs while Casey Hicks scored one.

For the Vipers, Murphy Middleton was 2-for-3 with a homerun and two runs scored, Cortnee Meyers had a hit and scored a run, Abby Blackmon, Telisha McDonald and Stormi Till each had a hit and Conner Murphy White, Kathryn Sanford and Kadi Wingert each scored a run.

The Dolls will take on the Gators Thursday at 6 p.m.

Dixie Ponytails

Heat 13, Angels 3

Dana Moore and Taylor Merry each scored three times Saturday as the Heat defeated the Angels in Dixie Ponytails league action, 13-3.

Offensively for the Heat (16-0), Moore and Merry scored three times apiece, Daphne Moore and A.J. Sanford each scored twice and Kasi Graham, Rebecca Dicks and Kayla Herring each scored once in the win.

For the Angels (3-12), Keonna Brown scored twice and Linsey Niehaus scored once.

Heat 19, Red Sox 7

Four Heat players scored three runs apiece Saturday to help lift their team to victory over the Red Sox, 19-7.

Offensively for the Heat, Kasi Graham, Taylor Merry, Dana Moore and Daphne Moore each scored three runs, A.J. Sanford, Rebecca Dicks and Faith Kenny each scored twice and Whitney Boswell scored once.

For the Red Sox, (4-10), Tay Peterson and Ashley Ballard each scored two runs while Hannah Johnson, Maria Betton and Haley Williams each scored once.

Dixie Angels

Rebels 15, Yellow Jackets 8

Five Rebels' players scored two runs apiece Monday as they took the Dixie Angels win over the Yellow Jackets, 15-8.

At the plate for the Rebels (14-0-1), Alex Merry, Carmen Till, Kindal Harrell, Iesha Powell and Janazia Thompson each scored two runs while Taylor King, Taylor Waller, Katelyn Brooks, Raneiyah Smith and Keauna Steele each scored once.

For the Yellow Jackets (4-11), Taylor Jordan and Breanna Clark each scored two runs while Savannah Mauch, Megan Phelps, Ashlyn McKeown and Hannah Owens each scored once.

Blue Jays 16, Yellow Jackets 5

Mary Glenn Fuller and Kristen Jordan each scored three runs Monday to lift the Blue Jays to victory over the Yellow Jackets, 16-5.

Offensively for the Blue Jays (7-7-1), Fuller and Jordan each scored three runs, Olivia Foster, Takira Walker, Madison McNaughton and Erin Duke each scored twice and Rhiya Daniel and Chelsey Mink each scored once.

For the Yellow Jackets, Hannah Reaves, Megan Phelps, Ashlyn McKeown, Hannah Owens and Mya Coleman each scored once.

Rebels 16, Lady Tide 8

Ten Rebels' players scored Monday as they cruised to victory over the Lady Tide, 16-8.

At the plate for the Rebels, Janazia Thompson, Emily Webster, Taylor Waller, Kindal Harrell, Carmen Till and Taylor King each scored two runs while Alex Merry, Katelyn Brooks, Iesha Powell and Keanna Steele each scored once.

For the Lady Tide (4-11), Chey-Ann Kilpatrick scored three runs, Charli Hood scored twice and Mallory Conway, Lakeona Powell and Madison Gibson each scored once.
