Valedictorian
Crenshaw Christian Academy
Class of 2007
Over the past eight years, I have been fortunate to be a part of Crenshaw Christian Academy.
I am especially thankful to have completed my high school education at CCA. Through this school, I have been introduced to many people who will be lifelong friends, and I have been exposed to the concepts that drive my life: the passion for my activities, a desire to complete all tasks that I start, and the trust in God that leads me through all aspects of my life.
In the past four years, I have been nominated by Crenshaw Christian Academy to participate in the HOBY (Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership) Seminar, the AREA (Alabama Rural Electrification Association) Montgomery and Washington D.C. Youth Tours, Legislative Day, and American Legion Alabama's Boys' State.
On these trips I have met several individuals with whom I keep in touch daily and will be around every day next year at Auburn University.
Within the school, I have been a part of both football and basketball teams that reached the Final Four.
Through our athletic triumphs, CCA's Class of 2007 has drawn a competitive nature that drives each individual to seek greatness.
Along with athletic feats, CCA's seniors have also been a part of many academic accomplishments. This senior class propelled CCA's SGA to second place in the state and was also a large part in the founding of CCA's Mu Alpha Theta Club.
In a graduating class of 22, $276,358 of scholarship money has been earned, and 19 seniors plan to attend college.
On behalf of Crenshaw Christian Academy's Class of 2007, I would like to thank Mrs. Angela Carpenter and all of the teachers at CCA for treating my classmates and me as family and instilling in us life lessons that will help us succeed in the years to come.
I would also like to extend thanks to the many boosters in the community who contribute greatly to CCA's success.
