The Fort Dale junior varsity girls basketball team attended Huntingdon College’s summer camp

and returned home with a first-place finish.

The team played 10 games while at the camp, winning each to finish with a spotless 10-0 record.

In order to finish with an unblemished record, the Lady Eagles had to defeat teams from Macon East, Sparta and Escambia.

Sparta gave Fort Dale its biggest challenge, but the Eagles managed to pull out a one-point win in both games between the teams.

Karli Boulware scored 75 points throughout the camp, and Jessie Langford was second in scoring with 53.

On the defensive side, Lori Fail and Jessie Langford each had 39 steals.

Anne Carol Branum pulled down 59 rebounds, and Katie Wilson contributed 32.

Both Murphy Middleton and Sarah Jones saw playing time but went out with sprained ankles.
