Special to The Journal

On Monday, July 23rd at 1:00 p.m., there will be a special children's program at the Luverne Public Library.

Author and illustrator, Mrs. Carolyn Spencer, will be at the library to read her book &#8220Even Caterpillars Can Fly.”

This charming book about a little caterpillar with high hopes helps us to remember that big dreams can beautifully transform our lives.

The children will also do a butterfly craft and each child will get a butterfly tattoo.

Mrs. Spencer lives in Wetumpka and works as an adjunct professor in Play Therapy at Auburn University Montgomery.

In this capacity, she specializes in working toward improving relationships between children and their families.

She also works with traumatized children through Safe Harbor, a child advocacy center serving Butler, Crenshaw and Lowndes counties.

The Luverne Public Library encourages parents to bring their children to this special program.
